Today Maya and I went over to my friend Youna's place. She is from Seoul, Korea and she made Korean bulgogi, Korean omelette's, rice and salad. My friend Brenda brought over some salad, salad dressing and croutons and my friend Tina brought over a fruit salad. I should be taking pictures of these ladies and their children but I get lost in the moment and I forget to.
Maya loved the "chinese rice" and the bulgogi and kept on asking for more. She requested some Kimchi but I quickly distracted her with the fruit because I knew she would not like the spicy taste to it.
I am blessed to have met these ladies and we have named our group, "The we're asian group". We say it this way because we always blame our shortcomings or idiosyncracies on being Asian.
I have a lot of respect for my friend Youna because she is from South Korea and came over for her husband's fellowship. She speaks English beautifully and is probably one of the most laid back women I have ever met. She has a son named Hansae (who just turned 4) and a son named Shawn (who is 6 months old.) They are so beautiful and I need to take their pictures....
