SEX AND THE CITY MOVIE.....

My friend Nicole told me about the movie opening on May 30 and I have already asked my babysitter to watch Maya that night so we can go see it. We are getting a group of ladies together to enjoy the opening night. I am so excited. I love NYC and want to take Maya on a trip to my favorite city.

Here is the link to see pictures and the trailer.

Mama Saucier....

Kehli is one of the first mom's I met in Rochester at toddler time. She is such a steady, sweet friend whose husband, Nate is a first year Nephrology resident. I always feel comfortable asking her questions and she gives great advice. She just had her baby, Megan 3 months ago and is an excellent mom. Her daughter Whitney is one of Maya's best friends.

Alien Baby....

Here is a baby, named Connor that sat through an internal medicine residency interview dinner without making a peep. His nickname is "Alien Baby" because of his unbelievable behavior.

Birthday Bash at the Cummings house...

It is always a blast over at my friend Nicole's house. My friend Kehli introduced us and Nicole has become a very good friend. She is the Martha Stewart of Rochester. Maya and I went over to her house for her daughter's 2nd b-day party. Nicole made the best banana cupcakes with delicious icing. We always have a great time at the Cumming's house...

Party in the bathtub....

Yoga class with Nicole...

My friend Nicole is a Yoga instructor and was teaching her daughter Catherine and her friend Whitney and Maya some moves. It is so neat to watch her.....One of my goals is to start taking one of Nicole's classes.

Princess Bed...

I believe that every girl should have a princess bed. That is why Maya has 3 silk blankets and 2 mattress comforters. She loves to sleep.....thank goodness.

Small Things...

You know what it is the small things that make motherhood so rewarding. Yesterday Maya asked to blow bubbles and I put down a little mat where she could make a mess and guess what, she could blow bubbles like no other. We also made a pretend meal and set the table and had a mother/daughter lunch together. It is not the big things that make motherhood so fun. Usually it is a thankless job and stay at home mothers are looked down upon. But I savor being a mom and seeing Maya grow up, say full sentences, become more creative....

A True Minnesota Warrior...

My friend Kehli sent this picture of her daughter Whitney. Kehli quoted the quest perfectly, "Here is a cute picture of Whitney's Summit Attempt....only in Minnesota does a kid have this kind of childhood."

Reading...

Daddy and I were reading to Maya this evening and we both realized that she knows the exact lines to a couple of books we read to her. She is such a compassionate, caring, warm soul. She is such a quick learner and has a memory like an elephant...

Gettin Jiggy with Sir Alex and Princess Maya

Pics of Sir Alex and Princess Maya playing together. We had so much fun and were laughing up a storm. Josh was teaching them some chords on the guitar...

Asian Wednesdays..

Today was a cold one. The high was a blistering 1 degree (hahaha). We went over to my friend Youna's abode and spent some quality time with her and her son Shawn. We missed our friend Tina who is in Colorado with her hubby celebrating her birthday and missed our friend Brenda (honorary Asian). We have our Wednesday get togethers that I always look forward to. I am lucky to know a true "Korean" and enjoy asking her the plethora of questions about my culture and background.

GO OBAMA....

Obama extends streak with Wis., Hawaii wins

GO OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to admit I was a Hilary fan but I really am beginning to like this guy. I really respect Hilary because she is extremely intelligent and is a hard worker but the more I read about Obama I would not mind him being the democratic nomination.

Playdate at Brenda's house...

Maya and I had a wonderful day today. We ventured over to my friend Brenda's house and had a great time with our friends Tracy and Matthew and Abby and Heather. Both Tracy and Heather's husband work for IBM and we all met at Kindermusik. All of our kids get along and are used to seeing each other. Brenda made a delicious Banana bread (with nuts, chocolate chips) and Maya and I ate a couple of pieces. I love hanging out with these women.
