Maya's First Haircut

Dateline May 19:
Thanks to our talented and patient barber Maya no longer has to see the world through her frumpy sheepdog bangs. We were amazed at how well she behaved. She looks really cool in her streamlined haircut (see picture in her car seat).

Toddler Time Playgroup...

The weather in Rochester is now nice enough for our kiddos to play outside. One of the playgroups Maya and I attend is the Mayo Toddler Time playgroup. It was the first playgroup I attended when I moved to Rochester for Josh's residency. Sarah Lytle was one of the first women I met who told me the places to take Maya. As you can see from the pictures it is a fun group of moms and kiddos.

Incredible Woman...

When I took Jewish Conversion classes in Kansas City I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with Margo Posnanski. Her husband, Joe Posnanski, is the head sports writer for the Kansas City Star and has written award winning books and was named the best sports columnist in America by the Associated Press Sports Editors. Margo not only is a mother of 2, and her husband's cheering section, but she also has a blog at www.mom2momkc and www.joeposnanski.com/MargoBlog. I have viewed the blog and find that it is creative, innovative and full of good advice on how to be a better mom. I admire Margo's passion and her energy.

Bubbi and Pop Pop

There is not a week that goes by where Maya does not request traveling to Kansas City and seeing her Bubbi and Pop Pop. She is so lucky to have grandparents that love and support her.

Super Dad...

Not only does Maya's daddy work 15 hour days but he also is curious about what we do on a daily basis. On his days off he could sleep all day, but instead he hangs out with us and experiences music class, PAIIR class and playdates. Maya and I are extremely lucky.

Lucky...

It is very cold in Rochester in the winter but luckily Maya and I have friends that keep everything warm and cozy. Our group of moms are lucky because we have such loving mothers and kiddos that keep our life adventurous and fun. We still get out and see each other and venture the cold together.

Quarry Hill Nature Center Outing...

There was a group of us that went to Quarry Hill Nature Center with our kiddos. The kids went bird watching, brushed a dinosaur's teeth and ventured outdoors to eat lunch and walk around the pond.

Future Doctor...

Maya loves the best things in life and took her first test drive in a Mercedes Benz at Oak Park Mall. I told her that she should become a doctor to support her aristocratic lifestyle.

Trip to K.C...

Maya and I took a trip to K.C. after the Bar Mitzvah in St. Louis and got to hang out with Aunt Elyse and Uncle Chris who made a delicious Mexican meal. Maya loves spending time at Bubbi's and Pop Pop's house and loves to make music with glasses and the harmonica.

Bar Mitzvah in St. Louis

Maya and I were blessed to be able to go down to a Bar Mitzvah with Josh's parents (Carla and Steve Max). We had the honor of hanging out with the Kantor side of the family. We had so much fun and laughed until we cried. The last picture is of Maya passing out at the last big party for the Bar Mitzvah. Aunt Kay and Bubbi Carla made a bed out of 2 small sofas.

Isaac's 1 year old b-day party...

Sir Isaac turned 1 today and had a breakfast b-day party. Asli made a delicious, creative cake and Isaac was crawling all around and enjoying bites of cupcake. His red hair is adorable and his mama is one of the sweetest women in Rochester.

Beautiful Women...

So many times moms post pictures up of their kids and forget to have people take their pictures. So here are pictures of very beautiful moms in Rochester...

SEX AND THE CITY MOVIE.....

My friend Nicole told me about the movie opening on May 30 and I have already asked my babysitter to watch Maya that night so we can go see it. We are getting a group of ladies together to enjoy the opening night. I am so excited. I love NYC and want to take Maya on a trip to my favorite city.

Here is the link to see pictures and the trailer.

Mama Saucier....

Kehli is one of the first mom's I met in Rochester at toddler time. She is such a steady, sweet friend whose husband, Nate is a first year Nephrology resident. I always feel comfortable asking her questions and she gives great advice. She just had her baby, Megan 3 months ago and is an excellent mom. Her daughter Whitney is one of Maya's best friends.

Alien Baby....

Here is a baby, named Connor that sat through an internal medicine residency interview dinner without making a peep. His nickname is "Alien Baby" because of his unbelievable behavior.

Birthday Bash at the Cummings house...

It is always a blast over at my friend Nicole's house. My friend Kehli introduced us and Nicole has become a very good friend. She is the Martha Stewart of Rochester. Maya and I went over to her house for her daughter's 2nd b-day party. Nicole made the best banana cupcakes with delicious icing. We always have a great time at the Cumming's house...
