Maya's First Haircut

Dateline May 19:
Thanks to our talented and patient barber Maya no longer has to see the world through her frumpy sheepdog bangs. We were amazed at how well she behaved. She looks really cool in her streamlined haircut (see picture in her car seat).

Toddler Time Playgroup...

The weather in Rochester is now nice enough for our kiddos to play outside. One of the playgroups Maya and I attend is the Mayo Toddler Time playgroup. It was the first playgroup I attended when I moved to Rochester for Josh's residency. Sarah Lytle was one of the first women I met who told me the places to take Maya. As you can see from the pictures it is a fun group of moms and kiddos.

Incredible Woman...

When I took Jewish Conversion classes in Kansas City I had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with Margo Posnanski. Her husband, Joe Posnanski, is the head sports writer for the Kansas City Star and has written award winning books and was named the best sports columnist in America by the Associated Press Sports Editors. Margo not only is a mother of 2, and her husband's cheering section, but she also has a blog at www.mom2momkc and www.joeposnanski.com/MargoBlog. I have viewed the blog and find that it is creative, innovative and full of good advice on how to be a better mom. I admire Margo's passion and her energy.

Bubbi and Pop Pop

There is not a week that goes by where Maya does not request traveling to Kansas City and seeing her Bubbi and Pop Pop. She is so lucky to have grandparents that love and support her.

Super Dad...

Not only does Maya's daddy work 15 hour days but he also is curious about what we do on a daily basis. On his days off he could sleep all day, but instead he hangs out with us and experiences music class, PAIIR class and playdates. Maya and I are extremely lucky.

Lucky...

It is very cold in Rochester in the winter but luckily Maya and I have friends that keep everything warm and cozy. Our group of moms are lucky because we have such loving mothers and kiddos that keep our life adventurous and fun. We still get out and see each other and venture the cold together.

Quarry Hill Nature Center Outing...

There was a group of us that went to Quarry Hill Nature Center with our kiddos. The kids went bird watching, brushed a dinosaur's teeth and ventured outdoors to eat lunch and walk around the pond.
